We need your expertise! Montana State University Career, Internship & Student Employment Services is excited to host the 19th annual Margaret Alderson Etiquette Dinner in Fall 2025.

This event is designed to give students the chance to learn essential business and table etiquette while honing their interviewing skills in a formal setting. Our goal is to equip students with the confidence needed to thrive in professional environments.

A crucial part of the dinner involves having a "table captain" at each table to guide guests through etiquette practices during each course. Topics will include everything from proper silverware use to navigating tricky foods. As a volunteer table captain, you will receive a set of reference materials to help you prepare in advance.

Throughout the meal, table captains will also pose typical interview questions to simulate a real business dinner, providing students with valuable interview experience and feedback. This mock interview will help students approach future interviews with greater confidence and poise.

As a professional, your skills would greatly enhance this event, so we invite you to consider becoming a table captain! Your generous contribution of time is invaluable in helping us prepare our students to be respectful and thoughtful citizens.

If you would like to volunteer as a table captain, nominate a friend or colleague to help with this event, or have any questions, feel free to contact us by phone at 406-994-4353 or by email at [email protected].
