The city of Bozeman has been ranked number four on a list of the 25 best college towns in which to live. Bozeman was the highest-ranked town in Montana on the list.

MSU research satellite destroyed in rocket launch Tuesday
An experimental U.S. military rocket failed shortly after launch Tuesday, destroying all 13 small research satellites aboard, including one developed in part at MSU. MSU students and staff who worked on the satellite said they were disappointed at the launch failure, but were determined to rebuild within the year.
