MSU Beta Alpha Psi Club Recognized Internationally as a Superior Chapter

For their efforts made during the 2012-2013 academic year, the Eta Chi Chapter (Montana State University) of Beta Alpha Psi was announced as a “Superior Chapter,” the highest distinction a club can earn. This designation is significant and internationally recognized among the more than 300 chapters on college and university campuses worldwide. It means that under the students’ leadership and their chapter advisor, the club has far exceeded the baseline requirements of Beta Alpha Psi and has excelled in the areas of academics, professionalism, and leadership.

Beta Alpha Psi was originally founded in 1919 and MSU’s chapter was installed in 1991, a relatively new club. This past year, the students helped out with at the golf tournament, collected 93 pounds of food for the annual “Can the Griz” food drive, held a joint MSU and UM highway cleanup and increased membership by 45% to name a few things.

According to the website, www.bap.org, the primary objective of Beta Alpha Psi is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field. The organization promotes the study and practice of accounting, finance and information systems, provides opportunities for self-development, service and association among members and practicing professionals, and encourages a sense of ethical, social and public responsibility. Beta Alpha Psi denotes scholarship, social responsibility, and practicality.
