In celebration of UN Day 2020, MSU's UNA USA Club will be hosting a virtual event with guest speakers Ali Hoffman and Tayo Rockson. Ali Hoffman will open with speaking to the goals and mission of the UN, as we also celebrate the UN’s 75th anniversary. Ali is followed by our main speaker, Tayo Rockson, author of the book “Use Your Difference to Make a Difference” who will share his thoughts on developing adaptability and resilience in uncertain times. The event's themes encompass the idea of using your difference to make a difference; as a Nigerian who had lived in 5 countries and 4 continents by the time he was 17, Tayo came across several standards and norms that didn’t quite align with his identity and values. His journey to finding himself led to uncovering some of the best ways to push through tough times and understand relationships on a deep level. Tayo Rockson's story speaks to the human experience during times of difficulty and will aim to equip its attendees with insights for pushing onwards in the face of adversity.
