Academic Council
Mission
The Academic Council will provide vision and leadership for the academic enterprise of the University.
Areas of Responsibility
- Oversight and coordination of academic goals for the University
- Identifying synergies between/among teaching, research and outreach roles
- Serve as a clearinghouse for Board of Regents academic items
- Review of proposed new and existing academic programs
- Engagement with other Councils (Planning, Research, Budget, University)
- Review and advise regarding institutional assessment plan
- Collaborate with Faculty Senate on academic policies
- Identification of academic opportunities/challenges of the 4-campus/one university model
