Release Final Grades

By default, the Grades area does not display the Final Grade (Calculated or Adjusted) column to learners until the instructor chooses to release the final grade.

Incomplete Grades

Set up Learner access to a Brightspace course to satisfy an incomplete grade:

  1. Upon submission of final grades to the MyInfo area, instructor indicates an ‘I’ grade for a learner that is to receive an incomplete grade for the course.
  2. After submission of final grades in MyInfo, send an email to [email protected] and provide the course rubric with section (example: AGED 140US-001); course title (example: Leadership Dev For Agriculture); term (example: Spring 2020); course CRN: XXXXX (example: 54321) and learner’s first/last name with the last four digits of their student ID number (GID).

Backup Grades

Make a backup of course grades by exporting a spreadsheet file of course grades. This creates a local copy that is accessible and printable. This file can serve as a departmental record (if required).

Backup Course

The export function of Import / Export / Copy Components can be used to make a backup of a course (without learner specific information) at the end of a semester. Having an accessible local copy of a course is a great strategy for self- reliance!

Course/Section merges

Time Sensitive for following semester(s): Multiple sections of a course can be merged. To request a merge, send an e-mail to [email protected] with the course rubric, course number(s), course section(s) (to include in the merge), and course title.

Publisher Integrations

Time Sensitive for following semester(s): A publisher integration can provide seamless access to publisher sites for learners and instructors from within the Brightspace interface. To request a Publisher Integration, send an e-mail to [email protected] with the course rubric, course number, course section, course title, and the Publisher Integration needed.
