Project Description Entomology

Entomology is an interest of yours if you've ever chased butterflies or caught ladybugs to get a closer look at them. You've been attracted to the largest group of organisms on earth - insects - and the 4-H entomology project may be just for you.

*** Please note, if you do not attend at least one workshop in your project area during the 4-H year, you will be required to complete activities in your project book and turn it in with your record book. The number of activities required to complete a 4-H year in each project book can be found here.

What needs to be accomplished to move on to level 2?

  • "Teaming with Insects" Level 1- complete 16 activities + 7 dig deeper activities
  • Set goals- suggest keeping a notebook
  • Record Book- Non-animal project journal + financial record

What needs to be accomplished to move on to level 3?

  • "Teaming with Insects" Level 2- complete 16 activities + 5 dig deeper activities
  • Set goals- suggest keeping a notebook
  • Record Book- Non-animal project journal + financial record

What needs to be accomplished to move on to level 4?

  • "Teaming with Insects" Level 3- complete 15 activities + 6 dig deeper activities
  • Set goals- suggest keeping a notebook
  • Record Book- Non-animal project journal + financial record
