2023 Montana Municipal Institute: Elected Officials Workshop
JOIN US IN BOZEMAN FOR THE 2023 MONTANA MUNICIPAL INSTITUTE!
The MSU Local Government Center (LGC) welcomes you to this professional development training for elected officials in Montana municipal governments. This program offers a variety of timely workshops designed to support you in your important roles within your town or city through:
- Sessions that enhance the capacity of local government officials to serve effectively, professionally, and efficiently in municipal government
- Workshops to help mayors and council members learn about their roles and responsibilities as elected officials and provide pertinent information about emerging issues and opportunities of importance to local governance
- Sessions offered by experts from Montana State University, the Montana Municipal Interlocal Authority, the Montana League of Cities and Towns, practicing experts in municipal government, and knowledgeable trainers from the public sector who work directly with local government
- Networking opportunities with your colleagues in an atmosphere of professional growth and support
The program is held in conjunction with the Montana Municipal Institute for Clerks, Treasurers and Finance Officers and the Jim Tillotson Service Program for City Attorneys allowing for interaction between city attorneys and officials of both the executive and legislative branches of local government. Participants will have the opportunity to attend combined sessions with the clerks and treasurers to learn about topics that have an impact on everyone's duties.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS:
**Participants are responsible for booking and paying for their own hotel rooms.**
A block of state rate rooms is reserved at the Best Western GranTree for Municipal Institute participants under the block name MT Municipal Clerks, Treasurers, & Finance Officers. Reservations can be made by calling (406) 587-5261.
An additional block of rooms has been reserved at the Comfort Inn just across 7th Avenue from the Best Western GranTree.
The block of rooms reserved at the Comfort Inn is also offering a discounted rate under the group name Municipal Institute. Reservations can be made at the Comfort Inn by calling (406) 587-2322 or online through Choice Hotels.
Any remaining unreserved rooms in both room blocks will be released on April 9th, 2023.
CONFERENCE CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY:
Written notice of cancellation must be received by the Local Government Center no later than Friday, April 21, 2023 to receive a full refund of registration fees. No refund will be made for cancellations received after April 21, 2023. Substitution of a participant is encouraged over cancellation and may be made at any time.
