Email Newsletter - District 5 - September 2022
District 5 Fall Newsletter
Dear Private Applicators,
You are in the last year of your five-year private (farm) recertification cycle. You have until December 31, 2022, to attain the six recertification credits to qualify your license into the next cycle. Remember, your local MSU Extension Agent is available to answer questions about events, licensing, or pesticide issues. For counties or reservations currently without an Extension Agent please contact the nearest Extension office or the MSU Extension Pesticide Education Program for assistance.
License Recertification
You will receive a letter in the mail from the Montana Department of Agriculture (MDA) in November explaining how to recertify your license. You may mail the application with the $60 license fee or renew online if you have six private applicator credits for recertification. Keep in mind credit requirements vary for those initially certified in recent years. District 5 private applicators initially certified after July 2020 are only required to attain three private applicator credits, while District 5 private applicators initially certified in 2022 are not required to attain any private applicator credits to requalify.
It is a good practice to send in your renewal application as soon as possible to have your license processed prior to the growing season. If you do not receive the renewal letter in the mail, please contact your local Extension agent or MSU PEP.
