Division of Health Sciences: Our Mission
Our Mission
The mission of the MSU Division of Health Sciences is to foster education, training, and research to improve health and healthcare services for citizens across the state of Montana and to positively impact advancement of healthcare sciences nationally and internationally.
Faculty, staff, and students afillidated with the Division:
- Educate students at the professional, graduate, and undergraduate levels to become highly qualified healthcare providers, educators, engineers, and research scientist.
- Conduct research and creative activities for the advacement of knowledge through discovery, teaching, and development of professional skills.
- Provide continuing education and public service as well as support of clinical care of exemplary quality.
- Form collaborative relationships with communities in Montana and across the nation
to advance and implement innovative and community-based health care delivery systems.
The primary goal of the MSU Division of Health Sciences is to advance health science education through research and service to improve the well-being of diverse peoples across the state. Currently over 40 successful health-related departments, programs, and centers are affiliated with this Division including the University of Washington School of Medicine WWAMI program which serves as the only medical school in the state of Montana.
