During the last decades, passive power distribution systems are becoming active by
integration of distributed generations. Therefore, transition from traditional to
modern distribution network is under way by developing new smart technologies and
control methodologies.
The areas covered by the research are:
1- Observability analysis of power distribution systems with high penetration of distributed
renewable energy resources.
2- Optimal PMU placement for power distribution system observability
3- Distributed dynamic state-estimation for active distribution network
