Can I get tested for free?

If you would like to be screened, contact Student Health to set up an appointment online or at (406) 994-2311. Many STIs show no signs or symptoms; however, if you experience the following symptoms or think you need to be tested for and STI, contact Student Health Services:

  • Sores, bumps or blisters near the genitals, rectum or mouth
  • Itching around your genitals
  • Burning and pain when you urinate or have a bowel movement
  • Swelling or redness in your throat
  • Swelling in your groin area
  • Unusual discharge or drips

Where can I get condoms?

Condoms are for sale at the MSU Bookstore, but you can also get them for free at Student Health.

Will the pharmacy fill my contraception prescription?

Yes, the pharmacy will fill your contraception prescription for you. They will provide education and assistance on how to use your prescription, and answer any additional questions that you may have. Learn more about the pharmacy.

What does an appointment look like for getting tested?

You can call (406) 994-2311 to make an appointment, or if you're having immediate symptoms you can be seen in the walk-in clinic. Your appointment will be completely confidential, and you and your doctor will discuss your symptoms or concerns. Based off of those concerns, your doctor will decide if any testing is needed, in which case they will counsel you on what that process is like and when you can expect your results. Student Health will provide additional care or refer you to the appropriate resources as necessary.

What are resources for sexual health?

The Voice Center

The VOICE Center emphasizes empowerment of the survivor and peer-based services provided by staff and trained advocates. VOICE Center Advocates can talk to you, either on the phone or in person, about your relationship and concerns you may have; reporting options; temporary orders of protection; support groups; counseling, and medical resources available to you. They can also accompany or assist survivors in accessing medical, legal, or other services. Services are free & confidential.
