Research Cyberinfrastructure
Research Cyberinfrastructure (RCI) serves as a central resource for the Information Technology (IT) and Cyberinfrastructure (CI) systems, services, and support needed to enable and promote advanced research across disciplines at Montana State University in support of MSU’s Grand Challenge Research Goals.
RCI provides centralized support, systems, and services for IT specific to research. Systems and services include the areas of high-performance computing (HPC), virtual machine hosting, large scale storage, and high-performance networking and data transfer. In addition to support for these services, RCI provides consulting on technology budgets and implementation for grants and support for IT components of major research instrumentation, software, and specialized or unique research technology needs.
RCI offers open office hours in Renne 324 each Wednesday from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and each Thursday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Stop by for assistance with any of our services!
RCI offers a Tempest training session on the third Thursday of every month from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in Renne 324. This can be used as both an introduction to getting started on Tempest or a refresher if you haven't used it recently.
