Hyalite High-Performance Computing Cluster
Hyalite has been decomissioned and replaced with the next-generation Temepst HPC system. Please see https://www.montana.edu/uit/rci/tempest/ for information on Tempest. This page is now archival.
OVERVIEW
Hyalite, MSU's first supercomputer, is composed of 1300 cores (2600 hyper-threaded) that together crank out 22 TeraFlops. 728 TB of high speed Lustre storage is attached to the cluster. Hyalite is supported by Research Cyberinfrastructure (UIT). Hyalite has been expanded multiple times since it's initial installation in December 2014.
