Seamless OneMSU - Billings
Undergraduate student transfer and registration guide
Through Seamless OneMSU, take courses at MSU, MSU Billings, MSU Northern and Great Falls College MSU! Seamless OneMSU makes multi-campus course enrollment easier. By using the Seamless OneMSU students can:
- Transfer from one school to another (migrate to a new "home" school; undergraduates only).
- Simultaneously attend multiple campuses by taking a course (likely online) at a "host" school while remaining enrolled at the "home" school.
- Enroll as a Visitor at a "host" campus for a semester with the intent of returning "home" the following semester.
The process is not instantaneous or automatic. By completing the form students notify two or more schools of their intent and authorize those schools to move forward with the enrollment requests.
It takes several days to complete the entire process once a student completes the form. Students will be notified via-email by the host campus or campus to which they are transferring regarding next steps in their seamless enrollment.
Montana University System students normally do not pay for course credits beyond their first 12 per semester, but that is only applicable to each campus. If a student enrolls in multiple MSU campuses, they will receive a bill from each campus and may not aggregate their multi-campus credits to reach the 12-credit threshold.
Each MSU campus is recognized by both the State of Montana and the Federal government as an independently accredited college. As such, certain rules apply when it comes to sharing student information between campuses. By completing the multi-campus enrollment form (top right) students authorize the respective institutions to share information relevant to admissions, registration and financial aid (when applicable). Transfer students may be required to submit additional information and will be notified by the "transfer to" school if that is the case.
Students can expect to be notified via-email by the host campus or campus to which they are transferring regarding next steps in their seamless enrollment.
