Cleaning Services

Custodial Services are provided for the following spaces:

Spaces Serviced Daily
Hallways
Copy Rooms
Breakout Spaces
Building Entrances
Common Areas
Restrooms
Break/Kitchen Areas*
Collision Areas
 

 

*Break/Kitches Areas:

Custodial Services provides limited services to kitchen and break areas. These services include:

  • Emptying trash receptacles
  • Wiping down horizontal/vertical surfaces
  • Vacuuming/mopping floors

We kindly ask that building occupants wash dishes and maintain faculty & staff refrigerators/cupboards.

Areas Not Serviced

Offices and Office Suites

Offices and Office Suites are responsible for basic cleaning duties and utilizing centralized waste collection procedures.

Clean Kits are available to be delivered to offices & suites for use by any office constituent at their leisure. Those kits include the following:

  • QT5 Cleaning & Disinfectant Spray Bottle*
  • Reusable Microfiber Rags*
  • Vacuum Cleaner

*These items can be replenished by filling out the Special Request Form on the Custodial Services webpage

Research Labs

To protect research as well as custodians, facilities custodial does not service research lab spaces. Lab trash can be left outside a lab door from 4:30pm-9:00pm for pickup. We ask that trash is left in a single can. New cans may be available upon request.

Trash left ouside a lab door or brought to a dumpster must not contain:

  • Any chemical waste or chemical contaminants
  • Aerosol cans
  • Biohazard waste
  • Sharps (Including glass containers)
  • E-waste, etc.

Centralized Waste Collection

All offices and office suites are asked to use the campus's centralized waste collection program. Collection stations are sited on nearly every floor of academic buildings typically near access/egress areas.

Self-service waste and recycling receptacles area available upon request.

Collection Station Service:

  • Trash serviced daily
  • Recycling is serviced a minimum of once a week but can vary by deposited volume
