Cicindela oregona
Cicindela oregona is also known as the western tiger beetle. There are several color forms of this species. The adult is 11- to 13-mm long. Both the larva and adult are predators of other insects. Larvae and adults can be found on sandy soils near water. There are hybrids between the western tiger beetle and the twelve-spotted tiger beetle that are common and confusing when it comes to identification.
