Holopogon sp
Holopogon is a genus of small robber flies in the family Asilidae. Adults are 6- to 8-mm long and prey on insects, often catching them in flight. The larvae can have varying diets depending on their current larval stage. It can take 1-3 years for members of the Asilidae family to complete their life cycles. These flies are often found in open, sunny, and dry habitats with patches of vegetation.
