Neoitamus sp.
Neoitamus is a genus of robber fly in the family Asilidae. The large adult looks like a wasp and feeds on other robber flies, bees, and wasps. The larva can have a varying diet depending on its current larval stage. It can take 1-3 years for members of the Asilidae family to complete their life cycles. These flies are often found in open, sunny, and dry habitats with patches of vegetation.
