Tetanocera Sp.

Sciomyzid flies are also called marsh flies. The larva feeds on snails and slugs. The adult feeds on nectar. Both larvae and adults are found near water bodies and in marshy areas. Depending on the species, the adult is 2- to 14-mm long.
