Adejeania vexatrix is a large tachinid fly with distinctly long mouthparts. The adult has a wingspan of about 18 mm. Most species in the Tachinidae family have parasitic larvae that can develop within a wide variety of insects hosts. The adult of this species has a distinctly orange abdomen and rings of setae surrounding the abdominal segments that are used in identification.
