Thereva sp.
Thereva is a genus of stiletto fly found in forests. The larva feeds on small invertebrates in dry soil. The adult feeds on nectar, honeydew, and pollen. There are currently 1.600 known species worldwide. Many species within this genus contain holoptic males and dichoptic females, meaning the males have eyes that meet along the dorsal median line of their heads and the females have two separate eyes that do not meet.
