Halictus rubicundus
Halictus rubicundus is the orange-legged furrow bee in the family Halictidae. The species is found throughout the world in temperate climates. It has been well-studied, particularly for its variability in colony structure. It can be found from March to September. This species can be eusocial or solitary and produces ground nests that are typically south-facing to maximize sunlight absorption.
