Sphecid Sp.
This is a thread-waisted wasp in the family Sphecidae. The adult feeds on nectar and the larva is provisioned with insects (usually caterpillars) by the mother. Wasps in this family can be found worldwide in a variety of colors. Many species build their nests in the ground out of mud. Others build aerial nests out of mud or can be found in decaying wood material.
