Robert Keith

Managing Principal and Co-Founder, Beartooth Group

Robert spent part of his childhood on a ranch in Wyoming before spending his career in the public and private equity investment fields. He co-founded the Management Company in 2005, raised and invested Beartooth Capital I, LP in 2006, Beartooth Capital II, LP in 2011 and Beartooth Capital III, LP in 2019.

Prior to Beartooth, Robert served as the Investment Partner at Greenbridges, LLC, a conservation- oriented, agricultural investment company. Before working at Greenbridges, Robert was with Trident Capital, a Palo Alto, California, private equity and venture capital investment firm focused on the information technology industry. Prior to working at Trident, Robert worked in the Equity Research Department at Morgan Stanley in New York City.

Robert earned a BA in Economics from Yale University and an MBA and certificate of Public Management from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.

Robert is a member of the Northern Rockies Advisory Board for National Parks and Conservation Association (NPCA), a member of Business for Montana’s Outdoors (BFMO), a member of the Montana Outdoor Heritage Project, an Advisory Board member to Ranchland Dynamics 2.0, a member of the Conservation for Economic Growth Coalition, a member of the Business Coalition for Conservation and Climate, a former member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Yellowstone Coalition, is the President of the Association of Yale Alumni for the state of Montana and heads the Yale Alumni Schools Committees for South and Central Montana. Robert grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Cody, Wyoming where his family still lives on a ranch.
