DROP / ADD 4-H PROJECT DEADLINE
MAY 1, 2025

All 4-H members need to review their 4-H projects with their organizational leader to determine whether or not their project list is complete. We often get excited in the beginning of the year and sign up for more projects than we have time for or we forget to add some.

Take the time to determine whether or not you want to drop or add a project. Have your organizational leader contact the Extension office about any changes in your 4-H projects by May 1st.

Any changes to your project list
need to come from your Organizational Leader.

HORSE ID, BREEDING BEEF, BREEDING SHEEP, AND SMALL ANIMAL ID CARDS SUBMISSION DEADLINE ~ MAY 1, 2025

All 4-H members taking the Horse, Breeding Beef, Breeding Sheep, and Small Animal projects, including cats, dogs, pocket pets, poultry, and rabbits, are required to submit an ID Card. This ID card will be project specific and needs to include the animal’s information along with pictures showing all sides along with any special markings.

Remember – Cats, Dogs and Horses also need current Vaccination Records. (Vaccination records are due by June 18, 2025 with Fair Entries.)

The ID Cards were emailed out with the April Newsletter and are also available at the Extension Office.

Remember the Deadline to have these ID cards turned in is May 1st.

If you don’t turn in your ID card, you won’t be able to exhibit that project at the Fair.  NO EXCEPTIONS!!

4-H BRAND RESOURCES

The 4-H brand tells the world who we are and has a great impact when used correctly.  The 4-H brand uses a precise 4-H clover in a certain color.  Specifics on approved logos and colors can be found at www.montana4h.org/resources/4-H_brand.html.  If you are making a flyer and need logos or clip art sent to you, we are happy to do that.  Call the Extension office to make that request.

s 4-H Emblem

The national 4-H emblem is a four-leaf clover with the letter "H" on each leaf, denoting Head, Heart, Hands and Health. The four-leaf clover signifies "Good Luck."

Head, Heart, Hands and Health represent the four values members work on through fun and engaging programs.

4-H Colors - Green and White

Green is nature's most common color and is emblematic of springtime, life and youth. White symbolizes purity and high ideals.

4-H Motto

To Make the Best Better

4-H Pledge

I pledge...
my Head to clearer thinking,
my Heart to greater loyalty,
my Hands to larger service, and
my Health to better living.
For my club, my community, my country and my world.
