Teton County 4-H Letter to Textile Judges
May 2019
Dear Textile Judges,
Thank you for agreeing to judge the textile show on Thursday, June 20, at the Fairfield School. My cell phone is 590-2492 in case you need to reach me.
We will have a “closed” judging. Only the judges, contestants and room monitor will be allowed to view the judging. No scripts will be read during the judging. Judges are encouraged to ask questions and to write comments on the score sheet. Score sheets are enclosed for your review. We will plan for approximately 10 minutes per item entered for interviewing and writing comments. A schedule is attached.
Judges will be asked to pick top winners in the both quilts and clothing for each level – pre-junior, junior and senior. If there is not an outstanding entry, you are not obligated to give an award.
We will be providing a light meal for you, as you will judge through the evening. If you have any allergies or special food needs, please let us know. A judge’s contract is attached which can be returned via e-mail to [email protected] prior to the judging or printed and brought to judging on Wednesday, June 20.
The public style show, which you are invited to attend, will be held on Friday, June 28 at 7:00 p.m. in the Choteau City Park. More information about the fair and textile show can be found at http://teton.msuextension.org/ under the Teton County Fair link.
Please call if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Jane Wolery
