Macy Fitzgerald

Project Delivery Associate, MilTech Medical Group

Major: Industrial & Management Systems Engineering

MilTech, a research program part of INSRE, employs students on a regular basis– often hiring those students upon graduation. Macy Fitzgerald joined MilTech in 2021 as a student employee, and sicne then has leveraged the mentorship program to gain insights from industry professionals, guiding her through college and career decisions. Engaging in three distinct mentorship pairs, each offered her tailored advice and perspectives. Her initial mentorship illuminated the value of pursuing a master’s degree for her personal and professional growth. The subsequent pairing supported her through her master’s project and eased the transition from academia to the workforce. The final mentorship focused on strategies for entering the workforce, providing Macy with invaluable insights and advice tailored to her unique questions and circumstances. Macy’s journey through these mentorships was highly personalized, reflecting her evolving goals and needs.

“I highly recommend the mentorship program to other students because of its direct, real-world insights and the unique preparation it offers to life after university.”
