Background
Dr. Becker joined the Montana State ECE faculty in August of 2001. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in July of 2001. Becker's research and teaching interests are in the areas of microwave, millimeter wave and nano-electronics, as well as micro- and nanofabrication. His pedagogical research studying active learning methodologies and cyberlearning have been supported by the National Science Foundation. Becker is a 2004 recipient of the National Science Foundation CAREER award. He is a senior member of the IEEE, The IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society, and the IEEE Solid State Circuits Society. He has served as an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Antennas and Propagation and is a frequent reviewer for multiple IEEE journals.
