The Montana Wheat and Barley Committee will host a series of research review panels in cooperation with the Montana State University College of Agriculture and Montana Agricultural Experiment Station.
The event, titled “The Future’s Promise in Agriculture,” will take place Wednesday, March 3 beginning at 10:30 a.m., and is open to the public via Zoom. The review will include three 40-minute panels featuring MSU researchers.
- 11:10 a.m.: “What is the Future of Plant Breeding in Montana?” featuring Jason Cook, Jennifer Lachowiec and Mike Giroux of the Department of Plant Sciences and Plant Pathology.

Burak and Beth put in 18+ hours planting (along with a little help from Jennifer) to set up our first large-scale phenotyping experiment. Seventeen hundred plants, 108 genotypes!
