"RHA has made me feel confident that I can enter the workforce competitively. Our RHA and Hall Council members go on to be leaders on campus."

Each residence hall has a Hall Council that serves as a voice for students of that community. Advised by the Assistant Community Director (a current junior or senior undergraduate student), each Hall Council is made up of student leaders elected by their peers in the fall semester. Using a portion of resident social fees, Hall Councils are responsible for providing fun and engaging activities for residents to enjoy, make improvements to the services and amenities offered, and host a large all-campus traditional event.

Hall Council is an amazing way to gain skills that will help develop you into a more ethical, positive, and caring leader. Involvement can also assist you in developing important career competencies – perfect for rising above other applicants. Overall, getting involved with RHA and Hall Council is a great way to make a difference at Montana State University.

Previous members of RHA have said:

“Hall Council is all about bringing people together, helping them meet new friends and form those awesome connections. It’s great for helping you level up professionally too.” Zach F., Class of 2027

“RHA truly develops every participant to be a leader, no matter what their future goals may be. If it wasn’t for RHA, I would have never found the courage to get out of my shell and meet new people. Hall Council and RHA got me through my first ear of college, and helped push me to be the best person I could be.” Anne L., Class of 2019

Hall Council and RHA elections will be held on September 4, 2024. If you’re interested in getting involved, talk with your RA or email [email protected]
