Our chapter is dedicated to Montana State University and the community of Bozeman. We coordinate volunteer events for local charities and nonprofits once a month. Our past events include Cats for Cats, a trick or treating event that raised funds for the local animal shelter, and making blankets for a fundraiser benefiting Family Promise, an organization who helps guide homeless families back onto the path of self-sufficiency.
Alpha Lambda Delta hosts guest speakers who exemplify our academic goals and present issues that affect our communities and our planet. Past speakers have included local nonprofits, Study Abroad Global Ambassadors, and our own illustrious pool of professors who teach, inspire and frequently amuse us!
Bozeman, Montana is nestled between six breathtaking mountain ranges, rivers, as well as numerous lakes and waterfalls. We tend to be outdoorsy geeks. We like to keep our bodies as well as our minds, active. Our campus outdoor recreation department hosts group hiking, biking, kayaking, white water rafting, skiing, etc. No car needed! Just hop on the MSU bus, meet fellow classmates, and exercise while you soak in the scenery.
If anybody has any thoughts on volunteer opportunities for ALD, please contact an officer so your ideas can be discussed.
