Access Closures

  • North Half of Lot 11 on Monday, May 22nd, 2024, at 8:00 AM until further notice.
  • Veteran's Park will be closed on Thursday, November 14th, 2024, until May 2025
  • Bobcat circle (South of Grant Street) and ADA parking stalls on the west side of the Wellness center will be closed on Monday, December 16th, 2024, at 8:00 AM until Thursday December 19th at 4:00 PM.
Sidewalk Closures

  • Sidewalk on the East side of 11th Ave along from Grant Street to Bobcat Circle will be closed on October 11th, 2024, 4:00 PM until June of 2025.
Elevator Outages
  • The elevator in Reid Hall will be out of service from Summer 2023 until further notice.
  • Elevator in Jabs Hall will be out on Tuesday, December 3rd until further notice.
  • Elevator in Jefferson Hall will be out on Thursday, December 12th at 4:00pm until further notice.
  • Elevator in Roskie Hall (only one elevator at a time) will be out on Tuesday, December 17th, 2024, at 8:00 AM until Wednesday, December 19th at 12:00pm.
  • Elevator in Swingle will be out until further notice.
Road Closures

  • No current alerts

Due to numerous construction projects on the MSU campus, accessibility routes and entrances may temporarily be restricted, please watch for signs indicating alternative pathways.

Web Accessibility

Admitted and prospective students, employees, applicants, and countless other visitors access Montana State University's web properties using a wide variety of technologies. Our visitors utilize a variety of different web browsers, screen resolutions, and preferred font sizes.  A growing number of visitors are using mobile phones and other hand-held computers.  Like some of our students and employees, some of our web visitors have disabilities that can make access to our website challenging or even impossible.  To promote MSU's commitment to access for all individuals, web content should be accessible to all members of our diverse audience. Accessible web content should be developed in accordance with the following guidelines and standards:

WCAG 2.0 covers a wide range of recommendations for making web content more accessible. Following these guidelines at the AA level, will make content accessible to a wider range of people with various kinds of disabilities, including blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, learning disabilities, cognitive limitations, limited movement, speech disabilities, photosensitivity and combinations of these. Implementing proper accessibility will make your web content more usable to users in general.

These Guidelines are associated with the following principles:

1.1 Perceivable: Information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive.

1.2. Operable: User interface components and navigation must be operable.

1.3. Understandable: Information and the operation of user interface must be understandable.

1.4. Robust: Content must be robust enough that it can be interpreted reliably by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies.

Accessibility Information On-line

Current accessibility information concerning access to university buildings is available online.  In addition, the Accessibility Map of the university which lists accessible routes and accessibility information may also be found online.

Accessible routes must be free of obstructions, including bicycles and construction debris. If any person is aware of, or encounters obstacles, debris or obstructions on an accessible route, please contact the Accessibility Contact Person to report it.
