Course Evaluations open from Monday, April 25th to Friday, May 6th

As you get ready for the close of the semester and the opening of course evaluations, we wanted to remind you of some resources that can help you with your students before course evaluations.

When the course evaluations open on April 25th, please encourage your students to complete the evaluations by sending them reminders and setting aside class time to complete the evaluations. Note that you can provide students with the direct link to your course’s evaluation by going to your CampusLabs account and grabbing the link underneath the course.  You can also check response rates here.

The following resources can help you have a conversation with your students about completing the course evaluations, including how to talk to your students about the value of course evaluations and the type of feedback that is most useful.

Also, take a look at the Teaching Tips for ideas on how to wrap up the semester with your students.

Tips for wrapping up a course at the end of the semester:

  • The Last Class Session: How to Make It Count - Short article on strategies for wrapping up a course in ways that help students integrate content, prepare for exams, and request useful feedback for the course.
  • Ending the Semester - includes additional ideas for wrapping up a course as well as using the course to look forward, i.e. how to reach out to you for letters ofrecommendation.
  • Parting Ways: Ending Your Course - provides strategies for ending a course with both academic and emotional closure.
