About the College

The Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship encourages creativity and innovation among both students and faculty.

A variety of clubs allow for leadership development while hands-on classes, internships and networking events help students transition from the classroom to the workplace.

Students learn from nationally recognized professors, are mentored by local business leaders and are inspired by visiting professionals from companies like Google and Goldman Sachs.

 

Facts & Stats

  • The Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship is among the top 5% of business schools worldwide for being accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Other schools included in this 5% include Stanford, Michigan, MIT and UCLA.
  • 1 undergraduate degree with 4 options: Accounting, Finance, Management and Marketing. 5 minors, 1 master’s degree and 2 certificates. 
  • Students learn from faculty who have held senior positions in such companies as FedEx, Saatchi & Saatchi, ESPN, NASDAQ, Booz Allen Hamilton and several current business owners. 
  • 10 student clubs and organizations for students to expand their knowledge and connections.
  • Students compete at a national level within this college. The 2020 American Marketing Association Chapter was just recently named one of the Top 10 Chapters out of more than 400 student chapters worldwide. 
  • MSU’s Blackstone LaunchPad is an entrepreneurial resource for students, alumni and faculty across the university and community. The BLP offers coaching, ideation assistance and venture creation support which has helped generate more than 90 ventures. 
  • The College of Business is home to The Bracken Center, The Jabs Entrepreneurship Center, The Bracken Business Communication Clinic and the Professional Coaching Clinic. These resources are available for students throughout their time in the College of Business.
