Directions to Campus

  • Take exit 309 onto Main Street and proceed West to Willson Ave.
  • Turn left on Willson Ave and travel 18 blocks to Kagy Blvd (Willson will curve slightly here).
  • Turn right on Kagy Blvd and continue to South 7th Ave.
  • Turn right on South 7th Ave and continue to the hourly parking/garage entrance on the left.

  • Take exit 305 onto North 19th Ave and follow it South approximately 3.5 miles to Kagy Blvd.
  • Turn left onto Kagy Blvd and continue to South 7th Ave.
  • Turn left and continue to the hourly parking/garage entrance on the left side.

  • Park in a numbered space on the first or second floor that does not have a 30-minute sign or Reserved sign.
  • Please bring your license plate number to a pay station. You do not need to enter your space number.

* NOTE: Rental car key chains often do not match the physical license plate numbers.

  • Pay stations are located on the first and second floors near the stairwells in the southwest and northeast corners.

  • When you get to the pay station, press any button to continue.
  • Enter your full and correct license plate number and press 'OK'.
  • Next, press 1) Purchase Ticket.
  • Then, press 1) Daily (selecting Hourly will create an error.)
  • Then enter the number of days as: 1
  • Then, press that you have a coupon 1) Yes
  • Enter the coupon code listed in the confirmation email and press 'OK'.
  • A summary screen will appear. Please wait until your receipt is printed in the lower receptacle. 

Things to know: 

EmailParking Services ([email protected]) your coupon code and plate if you experience an issue with entry. DO NOT PAY FOR PARKING. We are unable to reimburse visitors once a payment has been made.

 

Directions to the Admissions Office After Parking

  • The Parking Garage is connected to Norm Asbjornson Hall. 
  • Walk around Norm Asbjornson Hall on the left (West) of the building.
  • Across Grant Street, you will see the Strand Union Building. 
  • Follow the sidewalk around the construction to the Strand Union Building.
  • The Office of Admissions is inside the Strand Union Building, up the stairs, first door on the right.

Frequently Asked Questions

First, try the other kiosk and follow the directions in your confirmation email exactly. If it still doesn’t work, email Parking Services ([email protected]) with your coupon code and license plate number.
Important: Do not pay for parking—we cannot reimburse payments. Coupon codes are only valid for guests with a formally scheduled campus visit.

If your vehicle is too large for the garage, contact Parking Services at (406) 994-1723 or [email protected]. They’ll likely direct you to the Stadium Lot or a Bobcat Lot.

If you're driving a bus, please call Parking Services at (406) 994-1723 for student drop-off and parking instructions.

Yes! Rideshare drop-off is allowed, but please note that the former drop-off location at the bus loop has changed.

Yes—just search “MSU Parking Garage” on Google Maps or Apple Maps. It’s located between 11th and 7th Avenue, near Kagy Blvd.
