Each course in our Kickoff program will require a minimum of 6 hours of screen time each week where students are working through the online lessons and participating in face-to-face class meetings or discussions. This is considered their “class attendance” for the week. In addition, students will need to do homework each week outside of their “class attendance” hours. The general expectation is that students will spend a minimum of 12-18 hours each week doing homework, completing assignments and taking exams. Therefore, we anticipate that the minimum number of hours a student needs to commit to successfully complete the course will be 18-24 hours each week for “class attendance” and homework. Some students may need to commit more time than the minimum number of hours reported here.
You can register for a class by visiting the registration section and filling out our registration form.
We encourage students to only take one course at a time, to ease their transition into Montana State academically.
Merit scholarships offered by Montana State University will not apply toward summer courses. Scholarship eligibility will begin with the fall semester, when students are at or above full-time status.
